MAZE ft. Frankie Beverly & The Isley Brothers

Presented by Motor City Entertainment

About The Event

Living legends of soul, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly are set to perform live at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on January 13th with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees The Isley Brothers!

Frankie Beverly and Maze has established a trust fund with music lovers worldwide for over 40 years. The sound is distinctive -- passionate, creative, original, soulful, honest and powerful. The group has created a unique sound and become one of the most influential groups in modern history.

Maze produced thirty hit singles since 1977, nine of which have been Top 10 R&B charted singles including the classics “Running Away,” “Love Is The Key,” “Back In Stride,” “Too Many Games,” “Can’t Get Over You,” and “Silky Soul.” Eight of the group’s ten albums have gone gold, all the way from their 1977 Capitol Records debut to the 1993 Warner Brothers’ album, “Back To Basics.”

As a headlining act, Frankie Beverly and Maze have been instrumental in giving exposure to several new recording artists, before they became household names, including Toni Braxton, Regina Belle and Anita Baker, to name a few. Recently Maze released a 20-track double-CD "Anthology" of the most popular and successful songs by Frankie Beverly's smooth soul/R&B group Maze makes an almost self-evident point about the far-too-usual treatment of the deserved in the pop music game. The All Music Guide wrote, "Frankie Beverly and Maze may be the ultimate urban contemporary group, though they're much more soulful and funky than many of their counterparts." Although the group has never won any awards they continue to attract sold-out audiences giving them the title "best kept secret in the industry".

The Isley Brothers began as a gospel vocal trio consisting of brothers O'Kelly Isley Jr., Rudolph Isley and Ronald Isley in the 1950s. With a career spanning over eight decades. After moving to New York City in the late 1950s, the group had their first successes during these early years, and rose to prominence in 1959 with their fourth single, "Shout", written by the three brothers, which became their first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, and sold over a million copies. In the 1960s, the group recorded songs for a variety of labels, including the top 20 single "Twist and Shout" and the Motown single "This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You)", before recording and releasing the Grammy Award-winning hit "It's Your Thing" on their own label, T-Neck Records. After multiple lineup changes over the decades, the remaining duo of Ronald Isley and Ernie Isley achieved mainstream success with the albums Mission to Please (1996), Eternal (2001) and Body Kiss (2003). Eternal spawned the top 20 hit "Contagious". As of 2022, the Isley Brothers continue to perform all the hits under the lineup of Ronald and Ernie.

The Isley Brothers have sold over 18 million units in the United States alone. They are among the few groups ever to have hit the Billboard Hot 100 with new music in six different decades. Sixteen of their albums charted in the Top 40 and thirteen of those albums have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum by the RIAA. The brothers have been honored by several musical institutions, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which inducted them in 1992. Five years later, they were added to Hollywood's Rockwalk, and in 2003 they were inducted to the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. They received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.
