The match pits 2025 LOVB Finals MVP Madi Skinner and her LOVB Austin squad against Lexi Rodriguez in her debut match as Nebraska’s starting libero.\n\nFollowing the year’s First Serve in Austin, LOVB will continue to feed Lone Star State volleyball fever with LOVB Houston hosting LOVB Salt Lake in Houston in a matchup of reigning athletes of the year in Houston’s Jordan Thompson (2025 LOVB Opposite Hitter of the Year) and Salt Lake’s Manami Kojima (2025 LOVB Libero of the Year), where athletes with several Olympic medals will be competing on the court.\n\nRounding out the week one slate, on Saturday, January 10, LOVB Madison led by setter Lauren Carlini and Olympic gold medalist Xiangyu Gong will welcome LOVB Salt Lake, and on Sunday, January 11, the league will feature two more elite-level matches: LOVB Austin versus Atlanta will be a rematch of 2025 championship semifinals where Austin pulled off a reverse sweep to go to the Finals, while setter Micha Hancock takes on fellow Olympic medalist Jordan Larson when Houston comes to Nebraska.\n\nView the complete 2026 schedule.\n\nTickets for all 60 matches are now on sale. Each team will now play 20 matches that will be evenly split between at home and on the road, except for one neutral site match at the LOVB Classic. No other neutral site games will occur, and teams will be provided at least one day off between matches.\n\nAdditionally, the USA Network will air LOVB’s Match of the Week in primetime every Wednesday of the regular season. The first Match of the Week will air on Wednesday, January 14 and feature LOVB Atlanta hosting LOVB Austin .\n\nAlso changing in season two is the League’s postseason format, which will now take place over two weekends in April. Four teams will make the semifinal round April 9-11, with two two-match series set in one location still to be announced. The winner of the two semifinals will meet in another two-match series to determine a champion.\n\nFollowing the success of its inaugural season, the league will once again host the LOVB Classic in February in Kansas City, Missouri. While the three day-long volleyball celebration will once again see professional and junior athletes compete alongside one another, LOVB’s three pro matches will be treated as regular season matches instead of a bracketed tournament.\n\nVenues have also been announced for the season. Both LOVB Austin and LOVB Nebraska will host one match apiece in arenas outside of their city to strengthen ties to volleyball fans throughout their regional communities.
